About Me

Hello, my name is Ms. Tilghman.  I have been a teacher and have worked at Pacoima Charter School since 2005.  I have my bachelor's degree in liberal studies and my multiple subject credentials, both earned from California State University, Northridge.  I also have my master’s degree in educational administration and leadership and I am certified to teach transitional kindergarten.  I have worked in the Pacoima community since 2000.  I was a reading tutor at Maclay Middle School, from 2000 to 2002, through CSUN's Education Equity office.  I transferred to Pacoima Elementary School in 2002.  I worked as a reading tutor until I became a teacher in 2005.    I taught regular kindergarten for 11 years, transitional kindergarten for 5 years and worked in preschool for two years. I love working in the field of early education. I find my job very rewarding and fun.
